Rising Star Award

The Rising Star Award was created to showcase the HR profession within a different demographic by recognizing emerging HR professionals for their work within the profession and SHRM.  The Rising Star Award recognizes HR professionals who are ‘lighting up the HR community.’ These young HR trailblazers hold the future of the HR profession.

Nominees should have demonstrated outstanding accomplishments and/or contributions which represent achievement.  Examples may include, but not limited to:

  • Service to the HR Profession
  • Professional Leadership to the HR Profession
  • Credentials (degrees and/or certifications)
  • Leadership in the Business Community
  • Service to the Civic Community
  • Awards and Recognition
  • Is required to be an active NCSHRM Chapter Affiliated Member or National SHRM Member

Award Criteria: The nominee must be (or have been) employed or primarily conduct business in North Carolina.  The nominee is active in the local SHRM chapter and has approximately 2-5 years of experience in an HR role.

Nomination Deadline:  August 24th

Award Date:  NCSHRM Annual Conference

Award:  The award recipient will receive a $400 cash award and recognition at the 2023 NCSHRM Annual Conference.
