HR Professional of the Year Award

The NCSHRM State Council recognizes one active, NC Chapter Human Resources Professional annually at the NCSHRM State Conference as the Professional of the Year.  This award is given in recognition of this individual’s service to the HR community (State Council, SHRM Chapters, etc.), service to the HR profession, leadership in the business community, and service to the civic community within the past calendar year.

This award is presented in the memory of Dick Peoples.

The primary criteria for the award are:

  • Current active member of a Local SHRM-affiliated Chapter and active member of SHRM in good standing
  • Documented service to the HR Community (State Council, SHRM Chapters, etc.),
  • Documented service to the HR Profession
  • Degree(s) and Certification(s) received
  • Awards and Recognitions received
  • Proven Leadership in the Business Community
  • Documented service to the Civic Community

Nomination Notes:

Nominators will need to provide:

  • a detailed profile that will be used to judge the nominee on the criteria above for the past calendar year
  • include information about the individual’s background, specifically as it relates to the bullet points above, and any additional information that may assist the judges in their selection.
  • a resume of the nominee should be attached if available.

Nominators:  Complete the information on the nomination form to the best of your knowledge. Please keep your information as concise as possible. We realize that it may be difficult to summarize the nominees’ work, but we appreciate your assistance and consideration of the Selection Committee’s time.

Nomination Deadline:  April 29, 2022

Award Date:  NCSHRM Q2 2022

Award:

The winning individual will be presented with an award at the 2022 NCSHRM Q2 Meeting.  Also, the winner will receive a cash award of $250.
