Will Rikard is the Executive Director of StepUp Wilmington (formerly Phoenix Employment Ministry & Phoenix Hometown Hires), a local non-profit organization that trains and places individuals with barriers to employment into jobs. Hiring decisions have consequences on individuals, families and communities. Will's discussion will focus on understanding and putting into practice, policies that take into account statistical data on incarceration and other factors, will not only create fair and equitable hiring practices, it can transform a community and improve business performance.

Congratulations Marie MacDonald

Winner of the 2019 Richard Dick Peoples HR Professional of the Year Award

Marie has been an integral part of the LCFHRA board for many years.  She was previously president of the Lower Cape Fear Human Resources Association and currently holds the position of  Workforce Readiness Chair for NCSHRM State Council and Membership Co Chair of the Lower Cape Fear Human Resources Association. She is also an active member of the Employer Advisory Board at UNCW, Cape Fear Community College, and Miller Motte She also remains involved in many local non-profit organizations.
