Why Small Businesses need CyberSecurity Programs for Survival

Presented by: Mike Parsons, President and Senior CyberSecurity Architect

Cost: $0 for members; $20 for non-members

You don’t need to be a Fortune 500 company.  If your business engages in one of these activities, you need to hear this presentation on Wednesday, February 26, 2020:

  • Defense
  • Food and lodging
  • Health Care
  • Financial Services
  • Insurance Accounting/taxes
  • Legal services
  • Real estate
  • Accept plastic for payment

During the session, you’ll learn the following

  • Common attacks and how to protect
  • What’s happening nationally and globally to effect data security
  • Data breach defined
  • Why small businesses need security
  • What happens when customer data is lost in a data breach
  • What NC and Federal require you to do for security
  • What you need to do to respond

Even if you’re just a small business, you are still a hacker’s favorite target.  You just don’t have the horsepower to defend against a hacker’s attack.  That hacker has studied your business and has a pretty good idea that you have enough value for him to attack and take you down.
