Health & Well-Being Engagement Strategies

Presented by Laura Snyder MS, RDN, LD

Free for Members, $20.00 for Guest

Program overview:

  • It’s estimated that nearly seven out of ten adults (69 percent) are considered overweight or obese.
  • Health care costs directly related to excess pounds are estimated at $190 billion per year and will continue to rise.
  • Being overweight increases the risk of developing diseases, such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high blood pressure and sleep apnea.
  • Chronic diseases and related lifestyle risks are the leading drivers of health care costs for employers. 85% of annual health care costs are for people with chronic diseases.
  • $117B is spent annually on health care costs associated with inadequate physical activity.

If you could help your employees lose weight, improve their cholesterol and blood sugar levels, reduce their risk of diabetes and heart disease, decrease the symptoms of depression and anxiety, and increase their energy and productivity — would you do it?
