Presence in the Moment
with Chris Vokaty, Vokaty Peak Performance
Program valid for 1 PDC for SHRM and HRCI recertification!
Today’s workplace is more competitive than at any time in history. Leaders have more pressure and demands to perform at a higher level and produce results faster. With that pressure comes stress, and as HR leaders, we have to help our clients deal with that pressure. Unfortunately, when people are under pressure, they tend to fall into “backup” behavior which can make interactions uncomfortable.
We all have those clients we enjoy working with and look forward to engaging, and we have others that are combative, confrontational and can be difficult under the best of circumstances. Its these challenging moments we can fall into behaviors that act as defensive mechanisms rather than behaviors that produce productive outcomes.
Successfully navigating stress and difficult situations requires awareness, acceptance and presence in the moment. Chris shares strategies to build emotional intelligence, how to read and understand the style and tendencies of others while helping you create your own persona to call upon to handle those difficult times, turning them into opportunities to excel.
