Our reVision 2021 NCSHRM In-Person and Virtual Conference is October 20-22, 2021 and IS right around the corner. And, as always, WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT! Since the majority of NCSHRM’s donation comes from the proceeds of our silent auction, we want to make this the best auction yet!
For new Presidents:
Every year, at the State Conference, we hold a silent auction. All proceeds from the silent auction are donated to the SHRM Foundation on behalf of NCSHRM. Each chapter is asked to donate at least one silent auction item. Items in the past have included: IPads, spa packages, paintings, wine baskets, assorted gift baskets, coach purses, vacation stays, sports tickets, gift cards (gift cards should be accompanied by a tangible item as well to garner added interest), etc. Items local to your community don’t always garner interest unless you are the Biltmore Of course, any donation is very much appreciated.
We are excited to share that we will be using the “Give Smart” online auction APP for this Silent Auction again this year. In addition to a silent auction, we will be holding our 50/50 raffle again where the winner takes home ½ of all donations received and the other ½ goes to the SHRM Foundation! We will be using Venmo for the 50/50 raffle this year and we are asking Chapters to donate a little “seed money” to prime the pump for the 50/50 raffle (like $50 or $100, whatever you’re feeling).
Please keep in mind that you and your chapters can reach out to organizations in your communities for your donation items – with the help of the businesses in your communities, Exhibitors or Sponsors attending the conference, your auction item can easily be one that everyone would like to get their hands on. All items that are donated by individuals and/or businesses for the NCSHRM silent auction are tax deductible.
Donating is easy!! Just complete the brief form below, inserting a link to a single picture of the item(s) on or before September 17, 2021
Since this is both an in-person and virtual conference, we ask that once a winner is selected, we will give you the winner information for you to send the donation to them directly. Some chapters may elect to showcase items from an online retailer so that ordering and delivery of the items is turnkey (Amazon).
All chapters are included on this request and asked to make a donation.
