Richard “Dick” Peoples Professional of the Year Award

THE ELIZABETH ‘CLAY’ SMITH HUMANITARIAN AWARD

The NC State Council Crown Awards Program

This annual recognition program honoring the highest achievements in chapter development and contributions that Advance the Profession and Serve the Professional. Chapters enter the competition by submitting an innovative project created and implemented by the chapter during the award period (January – December), and special consideration is given to successful programs that are readily transferable to other chapters. Distinguished Professional Chapter(s) of the Year Award

The NCSHRM State Council supports SHRM goals and objectives for Professional Chapters and Professional Members by recognizing North Carolina SHRM-affiliated chapters that have achieved excellence in the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence (SHAPE).  SHRM outlines a plan of action for success through the SHAPE program and recognizes the performance of Chapters by awarding tiered Excel awards. NCSHRM State Council

Distinguished Student Chapter(s) of the Year Award

NCSHRM State Council supports SHRM goals and objectives for Student Chapters and Student Chapter Members. SHRM outlines a plan of action for success through the annual Merit Award program that recognizes student chapters for outstanding activities and programs. To further support and recognize those student chapters that meet the Merit Award criteria outlined by the Society, the State Council recognizes those Distinguished Student Chapters annually. 

 

Distinguished North Carolina Student Chapter(s) that receive Merit Award status from SHRM will receive $150.00 to be used for student chapter purposes. Distinguished chapters will also be recognized at the NCSHRM State Conference.

 

William B. Leonard Scholarship

The North Carolina State Council acknowledges that the future of the Human Resource profession lies with the students of today. This scholarship program provides recognition, support, and monetary assistance to a student focusing on Human Resources as a profession.  To find out more, click here
