Carla Pike is the Executive Director of Vantage Pointe and serves as the Vice President of the Mediation Network of North Carolina. She is currently participating in the WILMA Leadership Institute. Carla has worked in the conflict resolution/restorative justice and non-profit sectors for over a decade. She has taught people of all ages and backgrounds in both the private and public sectors mediation and conflict management skills. Her broad range of experience includes work in higher education, asylum and human rights advocacy, and a term of AmeriCorps/Public Allies service. Carla graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Peace College and went on to pursue her Juris Doctor and Master of Arts in International Affairs at American University and her MBA at Pfeiffer University.
Rick Abrams is a Conflict Resolution Professional with Vantage Pointe. He brings to the Center 20+ years of experience as a New England boarding school educator and administrator. Rick was responsible for leading change in the academic arena that was based on the constantly evolving science of teaching and learning. He facilitated difficult conversations between and among community members, including between families and school officials. He is excited to be part of Vantage Pointe and the opportunity to continue to educate through improved communication on a broader stage. Rick holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia, a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Connecticut, and an Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Wesleyan University.
