About the Speaker:
Ms. Burton is a partner with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP in its Greensboro, North Carolina, office. She is a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in immigration law and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association International Law & Practice Section Council. Her practice focuses predominantly on business immigration, international law, and workers’ compensation defense. She counsels a variety of companies and individuals regarding all aspects of their business immigration needs, including inbound and outbound employee transfer, employment- and family-based immigrant and non-immigrant visas, consular contacts, ICE worksite enforcement, and I-9 issues. Ms. Burton regularly speaks and writes on a variety of topics relating to immigration and employment law.
